Resort dress codes are real: most à la carte restaurants ask for closed shoes and long trousers for men in the evening. Pack one smart outfit per two nights, reef-safe sunscreen, a light cover-up for air-conditioned dining, and small USD notes for housekeeping and bar staff. Leave room in the case — you will buy rum.
Check three things before booking: that your passport has at least six months' validity beyond your return date, that you have any blank pages required, and what your destination currently asks of your specific passport. Requirements change with little notice, so we verify at proposal stage and again before departure — and always point you to the official government source.
Arrive three hours before an international departure. Keep your passport, printed confirmation and payment card in your carry-on. Tell your bank you're travelling. Photograph your passport and store it somewhere reachable without your phone. Book the airport transfer in advance — arrival is not the moment to negotiate a fare.
The star rating tells you less than the guest profile. Adults-only is quieter but rules out family. A large resort means more restaurants and more walking; a small one means shorter walks and a shorter menu. Beachfront matters more than pool view. And a property mid-renovation is either excellent value or a ruined week — which is exactly what we check before recommending it.
Build your budget in four parts: accommodation, flights, transfers and spending. All-inclusive covers most of the third and fourth, which is why it often works out cheaper than it first looks. Add resort fees and departure taxes where they apply, and hold back roughly ten per cent for excursions and tips you'll decide on once you're there.
Insurance is not automatic and it is not all the same. What matters is medical cover abroad, cancellation cover for the reasons most likely to affect you, and whether pre-existing conditions are declared. We explain in plain terms what a policy would and wouldn't cover for your particular trip, and never sell you cover you don't need.
Transfer time matters more than anything else with small children — an extra ninety minutes in a van undoes a good arrival. Ask about connecting rooms early; they are limited. Check whether the kids' club has age bands that actually match your children, and whether it runs on the days you're there.
December to April is the driest and busiest. May, June and early November usually offer the best combination of weather and rate. Hurricane season runs June to November, with the highest risk in September and October — travel then is often excellent value, and flexible booking terms are worth having.

Proposals are free. Once you accept one, a travel planning and reservation service fee applies — it covers the research, reservations, coordination and support around your trip, and it is stated in writing before you commit.
Once you choose your hotel, you pay the travel planning and reservation service fee. We book the hotel at that point — it is confirmed and held in your name. The cost of the booking is then paid off in instalments, on a written schedule that completes before the supplier's deadline. You receive the schedule up front and a reminder before every due date.
Most enquiries receive a first response within the hour during business hours, Monday to Friday. Full proposals are usually with you the same day.
Yes. Flights, hotels, transfers, tours and insurance can be arranged together so the trip works as one plan rather than five separate bookings.
We check the current requirements for the passport you're travelling on and tell you what's needed before you book, then confirm again closer to departure. Applications remain yours to make, and we always point you to the official source.
Every supplier sets its own terms, so the policy for your specific booking is given to you in writing before payment. If plans change, we submit the request on your behalf and see it through.
Yes. Group travel is one of our strongest areas: one rooming list, individual payment tracking, and a single point of contact for the organiser.
No. The service is the same whether the trip is a two-night resident escape or a three-week international itinerary. Luxury here describes how you're looked after, not what you spend.
Proposals are free and valid for the period stated on them. Rates and availability are live and can change until the reservation is confirmed.
We do not take deposits. Once you select your hotel you pay the travel planning and reservation service fee, and the reservation is made. The cost of the booking is then paid in instalments, following the written schedule issued with your confirmation, and must clear before the supplier’s deadline. Late payment can result in the loss of a held rate.
The service fee covers research, reservations, coordination and support. It is quoted before you commit, is separate from the cost of the booking itself, and is what activates your reservation. It is not a deposit and is not applied against the booking cost.
Each supplier sets its own terms. The exact policy for your booking is provided in writing before payment, and we submit any change or cancellation request on your behalf.
Travellers are responsible for holding valid passports, visas and any required health documentation. We advise on current requirements and direct you to official sources, but cannot be responsible for entry decisions made by any authority.
Personal and passport information is collected solely to make and service your bookings, shared only with the suppliers required to deliver your trip, and never sold.
